My practice involves reflecting on the uncertainties and complexities of everyday life. Coiling, pinching, and piping in clay become a form of embodied ritual, tactile processes that document and physicalize the fluidity of time. Utilizing these repetitive processes, accumulation and layering are vehicles for translating my inner world. With a visual language of lattices, grids, and screens, I create and reimagine domestic-inspired objects. Using the negative space, color, and shadows, I further highlight a coexistence of dualities between seen/unseen and interior/exterior. This juxtaposition of distorted elements within a familiar setting embodies the in-between, simultaneously revealing and concealing boundaries. My work emerges as a tangible reflection of the unseen inner forces that shape our physical and emotional landscapes, encouraging myself and viewers to make space for the unknown.
